Eduard Valentinovich Markov was born in 1978, in Bolderaya district of the city of Riga. As a child, he painted, from 1987 to 1990, he went in for yachting, in his youth he manifested musical creative activity taking part in the school band HOVEL, in which he was a guitarist and one of the songwriters. From 1994 to 1998, with participation of commercial and government institutions, he organized youth sporting and recreational activities. In 1997, within the framework of Dreams of Ancient Riga Project, he was an organizer of a festival, which was held in the ancient fortress-star Daugavgriva (Ust-Dvinsk, Dünamünde). In 1998, he entered the Latvian State Fire and Rescue Service, where he worked for 20 years. He participated in provision of security of various events, as well as in search and rescue operations on land, on water and under water (as a diver). He was repeatedly awarded by various state awards, including: for saving children in a fire, by the Silver Medal of Honour "For Order, Security, Legality", the Medal "For Courage". After his retirement, he mastered the maritime specialty and is a sailor currently.
A lot of situations with tragic and happy endings, human emotions which Eduard observed, cultures of different countries with which he came into contact led him to comprehension that with the help of art, drawing, one could express an idea, emotion, and they would be understood by peoples belonging to different cultures. He is convinced that each of us has only three basic "things" - time, emotions and resources. In 2022, Eduard Valentinovich Markov published philosophical books about a Man and a System: Bla-bla-bla, Resourceocracy, 100 & 6. In 2022, he also began to express emotions through the drawing. Inspired by his own life experiences, the human nature and ecosystem, he is that artist who visualizes thoughts.
